This year marks the 50th anniversary of the signature of the scientific and technological bilateral cooperation agreement between Italy and Egypt<\/strong>. The cooperation agreement, signed in 1975, is implemented through 3 years periodic Executive Programmes, that fund research projects in priority areas jointly identified by the parts.<\/p>\n

The “Giornata della Ricerca Italiana nel Mondo” -Italian Research Day in the World- celebrated the anniversary\u00a0 with a a dedicated one-day workshop organised by the Embassy of Italy in Cairo, in collaboration with the Egyptian Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority<\/strong> (STDF).<\/p>\n

The event will included a presentation of the ongoing projects of Italian-Egyptian collaboration that fall under the Scientific Executive Program 2024-2026, and a presentation of education and career opportunities and dialogue between academia and-industry.<\/p>\n

With 15 academy and industry representative and an attendance if over 40 Egyptian and International institutions, the\u00a0 provided the opportunity to discuss ongoing activities and future prospects for scientific and technological cooperation between Italy and Egypt.<\/p>\n
