L\u2019Ambasciatore d\u2019Italia al Cairo, Giampaolo Cantini, ha incontrato oggi il Ministro dell\u2019Interno, Gen. Magdi Abdel Ghaffar. Il colloquio ha avuto come argomento principale la richiesta, da parte delle istituzioni e dell\u2019opinione pubblica italiane, che venga fatta piena luce sulla barbara uccisione di Giulio Regeni.<\/p>\n
L\u2019Ambasciatore Cantini ha posto particolare accento sulla necessita\u2019 che tutte le autorita\u2019 di sicurezza egiziane diano il proprio fattivo contributo alla positiva prosecuzione della cooperazione giudiziaria tra le due Procure.<\/p>\n
In merito alla nuova legge egiziana sulle ONG, l\u2019Ambasciatore Cantini ha auspicato una sua revisione in termini meno restrittivi, in linea con quanto sottolineato da molti partner dell\u2019Egitto.<\/p>\n
Durante l\u2019incontro sono stati altresi\u2019 passati in rassegna la collaborazione tra Roma e Il Cairo in materia di lotta al terrorismo e all\u2019immigrazione illegale ed il ruolo giocato dall\u2019Egitto nella gestione dei flussi di migranti.<\/p>\n

Ambassador of Italy in Cairo, Giampaolo Cantini, met today the Minister of Interior, Gen. Magdi Abdel Ghaffar. The main subject of the meeting has been the request from Italian institutions and public opinion to shed light over the brutal killing of Giulio Regeni.<\/p>\n
In particular, Ambassador Cantini stressed the need that all security authorities in Egypt give their contribution to the positive prosecution of the judicial cooperation between the investigators of the two Countries.<\/p>\n
Concerning the new Egyptian Law on NGOs, Ambassador Cantini called upon a revision favouring less restricting regulations, in line with many other partners of Egypt.<\/p>\n
