L\u2019Ambasciatore d\u2019Italia al Cairo, Giampaolo Cantini, e\u2019 stato ricevuto oggi dal Ministro delle Antichita\u2019, Dr. Khaled El Enany, in un incontro che ha anzitutto fatto stato dei rapporti storici tra Italia ed Egitto nel settore archeologico e della salvaguardia e promozione del patrimonio culturale.<\/p>\n
Da parte dell\u2019Ambasciatore Cantini, nel porre l\u2019accento sull\u2019ampio numero di Missioni Archeologiche italiane nel Paese – al momento 22 – e\u2019 stato confermato l\u2019impegno nei campi della conservazione e del restauro, auspicando la piu\u2019 proficua prosecuzione della collaborazione finora garantita dal Ministro El Enany e dal dicastero da lui diretto. In particolare, il Sistema Italia e\u2019 pronto a contribuire con le tecnologie avanzate di cui dispone in favore dei numerosi enti egiziani attivi nel settore – musei, Universita\u2019, centri di ricerca e documentazione, anche nell\u2019ambito di iniziative UE che coinvolgono i piu\u2019 importanti musei europei – e tramite programmi di formazione. L\u2019incontro ha infatti rappresentato l\u2019occasione per annunciare che alcuni giovani conservatori del Ministero delle Antichita\u2019 beneficeranno di borse di studio della Farnesina per corsi presso l\u2019Istituto Superiore per la Conservazione ed il Restauro di Roma. Anche il contributo della Cooperazione italiana in ambito UNESCO a favore del Museo Islamico del Cairo, altro argomento discusso dall\u2019Ambasciatore Cantini ed il Ministro El Enany, si concentrera\u2019 sulla formazione del personale del Museo.<\/p>\n
L\u2019Ambasciatore Cantini ed il Ministro El Enany hanno infine discusso dei dettagli di alcuni progetti, ricompresi nel Programma di Conversione del Debito tra Italia ed Egitto, focalizzati sulla promozione a scopo turistico di importanti siti archeologici egiziani.<\/p>\n

Ambassador of Italy in Cairo, Giampaolo Cantini, was received today by the Minister of Antiquities, Dr. Khaled El Enany, in a meeting that first of all acknowledged the historical relations between Italy and Egypt in the sectors of archeology and cultural heritage.<\/p>\n
Underlining the several Italian Archeological Missions in Egypt \u2013 currently 22 \u2013 Ambassador Cantini confirmed the commitment in the fields of preservation and restoration on the basis of the ongoing fruitful cooperation by Minister El Enany and his staff. In particular, \u201cSistema Italia\u201d – the Italian institutional and private community – stands ready to contribute with advanced technologies in favour of the several Egyptian entities active in the sector – museums, Universities, research and documentation centres, also in the framenwork of EU initiatives in which major European museums are involved \u2013 and with training programmes. The meeting gave the opportunity to announce the scolarship in favour of young conservators from the Ministry of Antiquities by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The courses will be held at the \u201cIstituto Superiore per la Conservazione ed il Restauro\u201d (ISCR) in Rome. In the same context, the contribution by the Italian Cooperation through UNESCO in favour of the Islamic Museum in Cairo, another subject of the meeting, will be focused on training courses for Museum\u2019s staff.<\/p>\n
