ITALIAN SPACE DAY

In this section, you will find the program of events organized in Egypt to celebrate the ItalianSpace Day  , and the scientific cooperation between Italy and Egypt in the space sector.
Organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in close coordination with the Italian Space Agency (ASI), these initiatives aim to support the internationalization of Italian aerospace companies through the diplomatic-consular network and private stakeholders.
Italy is a global leader in this field, possessing a complete space-sector value chain that spans research, system manufacturing (satellites, launchers, and crewed infrastructures), and civil services such as environmental monitoring and telecommunications. This leadership began on December 16th, 1964, with the launch of the San Marco 1 satellite. That milestone made Italy the third nation in the world, after the USA and the USSR, to place a domestically-built satellite into orbit, initiating an adventure that continues today through institutional and industrial excellence.
