The Italy-IRENA Action for Climate Toolkit (I ACT) initiative aims to spread awareness and knowledge on climate change, renewable energy and development by empowering young leaders as peer educators.
The Toolkit consists of presentation materials, facilitator guidance and engagement activities that peer educators can use to lead their own workshops in their communities, schools or universities to drive climate action.
Through a training-of-trainers approach, young leaders from around the world will be selected and trained to use the toolkit.
The first edition of the program took place in 2023 and the results went beyond expectations: the 160 young people trained by IRENA shared their experience in over 40 countries, involving around 6,000 boys and girls
We invite young leaders to volunteer to become local peer educators. The selected I ACT Peer Educators will participate in a series of virtual training activities in May. Peer Educators will then have access to the toolkit content to lead workshops in their respective constituencies and, where possible, will be paired with local partners, including the Italian Embassy in their country, to deliver an-in person training to youth.
To apply, complete this application form by 21st March.
