
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announces the start of the collection of applications for:
- The “Farnesina Award”, intended for an Italian researcher who has distinguished himself/herself abroad for outstanding scientific merit. The call is addressed to Italian junior researchers (under 40). The award will consist of a contribution supporting a research residency at a Research Institution for a period of three months.
The winner will also be invited to present his/her scientific activity at the Conference of Science, Space and Agriculture Attachés, which will be held in Reggio Calabria in November 2026, and will receive a diploma and a commemorative plaque.
- The “Innovation that Speaks Italian” Award, dedicated to startups, recognizes the high innovative value of technological enterprises founded by Italian citizens and operating abroad.
The winner will be invited to present his/her activity in the segment dedicated to startups during the Conference of Science, Space and Agriculture Attachés in Reggio Calabria in November 2026, and will receive a diploma and a commemorative plaque.
- The “Science, She Says!” Award, intended for a young foreign female researcher under 40 from Africa or the Middle East.
The award will consist of a diploma and a commemorative plaque, which will be sent via diplomatic courier to the competent Office and delivered to the awardee on the occasion of the Italian Research Day in the World, in April 2027.
