تشير سفارة إيطاليا في مصر أنه ، بعد قرار الاتحاد الأوروبي بشأن «COVID-19: تقييد مؤقت للسفر غير الضروري إلى الاتحاد الأوروبي» ومع مراعاة التعليق المؤقت لجميع الرحلات الدولية من مصر أنه تم تعليق اصدار التأشيرات طويلة وقصيرة المدي مؤقتًا حتى إشعار آخر
يجوز منح الاستثناءات في حالات غير عادية ، وهي:
أفراد عائلة مواطن الاتحاد الأوروبي ؛
تأشيرات العبور ؛
الدبلوماسيون وفرق عمل المنظمات الدولية والعسكريون والعاملين في المجال الإنساني ؛
المهنيين والباحثين في مجال الرعاية الصحية.

تذكر سفارة إيطاليا أنه حتى 3 أبريل 2020 ، هناك التزام بتجنب أي سفر من وإلى الأراضي الإيطالية. يُسمح بالعودة إلى موطن الشخص أو مكان إقامته.
نحيطكم علما بأنه بعد صدور قرار وزير البنية التحتية والنقل بالتنسيق مع وزير الصحة ، رقم. 120 بتاريخ 17 مارس ن. 2020 شخص ، جميع الأشخاص الذين يدخلون إيطاليا معزولون ذاتيًا بشكل إلزامي لمدة 14 يومًا ، باستثناء أولئك الذين يعبرون إيطاليا إلى وجهة أخرى والذين يدخلون البلاد لأسباب تتعلق بالعمل ويقيمون لمدة لا تزيد عن 72 ساعة.
The Embassy of Italy in Egypt informs that, following the European Union decision concerning «COVID-19: temporary restriction to non essential travel to EU» and taking into consideration the temporary suspension of all international flights from Egypt, the processing of short and long term visas is temporarily suspended until further notice.
Exceptions may be granted in exceptional cases, namely:
- family members of a EU citizen;
- transit visas;
- diplomats, personnel from International Organisations, military personnel and humanitarian workers;
- health care professionals and researchers in the health care domain.

The Embassy of Italy reminds that until the 3rd of April 2020 there is an obligation to avoid any travel in and out of the Italian territory. Return to one’s own domicile or place of residence is allowed.
We inform that following the decree of the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, adopted in coordination with the Minister of Health, n. 120 of 17 March 2020, all persons entering Italy are mandatorily self-isolated for 14 days, with the exception of those transiting Italy for another destination and those who are entering the country for work reasons and are staying for not more than 72 hours.
